D.A.V. Mugma is one of the most promising and radiant stars of of D.A.V. Institutions managed by D.A.V. College Trust and Managing Committee. It has a short but monumental history.  It is a project school sponsored by Eastern Coking Coal Ltd., a subsidiary of Coal India Ltd, and the entire infrastructure has been provided by ECL. D.A.V. Mugma  has become a synonym of quality education. The school started with 400 students on rolls but within a short span of 8 years , the strength of students escalated about to one thousand three hundred.
